Water hydrates your cells. Every cellular process in the body requires water. Less water, worse function; more water, better function! ‘Nuff said.
Water detoxifies the body. It flushes out toxins and impurities. It purifies the colon which allows for better nutrient absorption.
Water awakens your digestive system and boosts metabolism. You’ll burn more calories throughout the day as fat and make better (non-craving) dietary choices.
Water helps keep you from getting sick. It maintains the health of your lymphatic system, allowing you to fight off infection. It also prevents dehydration which in itself increase cortisol (stress) levels in the body. Stress = Sick, so drink up!
As soon as you wake, go to the kitchen and pour (at least) a 20 oz. glass of water. Don’t chug it, but don’t babysit it either.
Or, keep a cup/glass/bottle on your nightstand filled with water and a bit of ice. The ice will melt overnight and voila!, it’s waiting for you when you hit the alarm.
